receiving emails twice??

My phone seems to notify me twice that that emails have been received, once through hotmail or googlemail and then a little while later through email. Even if I have read and deleted that email! Does anyone know how to turn this off? I have tried looking through the settings so I must be missing something.

You need to turn off notifications to the other email app. I had the same problem. I still have the issue where I will be notified of emails that I read days ago popping up in the notification window its a little annoying. I can't remember the exact sequence but I am sure someone here will post it

If you're getting it twice it means you've set it up that way. Perhaps you're reading your e-mail through the GMail/Hotmail apps and you also set those addresses up in your phone as e-mail in the stock app?
