Recent experiences?

Hahaha it was. It was a sarcastic one. But having said that all. I think all phones are extremely good now. And for me, the dual camera plus the combo being the best cameras out there makes up for all the things I don't like about the G5.

But I don't think ANY phone is the best phone. Each one has some major flaws. I don't like LG'S software and hardware design. I don't like HTC'S camera. I don't like S7s over expensive feeling too fragile construction. I don't like apples iOS. I don't like Google approaching there phones with the idea that let's make the smaller one with less premium built and the huge one with the better built. I like regular sized phones. I used to think of Sony phones as perfect phones. They just gave up.

But I hope recent experiences get better with LG. It's the best camera option out there. I don't think any phone will be able to top it this year.

Well what can i say, everyone's positive reviews were spot on. Got my device yesterday, swapped sim and SD from the Gs7Edge without hesitation after playing with it for a few minutes. Its amazing, the screen is great, the brightness seems to work nicely so far. Haven't ran into any hiccups, just getting used to the different OS. Also don't have WiFi calling since its an unlock device but I'm sure an update sometime soon should cover that and its nothing i'd go crazy over.

The camera is awesome and the wide angle, super useful. Love the double tap to lock and unlock the screen. The always on display is not too bright or big but it works for me just right, love the notification icons which the Galaxy didn't offer.

The speaker, blew my mind, compared to the Se7.. its loud lol. So far, love the phone.. my worries about design flaws are gone, its flawless. Only thing the back chamfers, slim but sharp if you put your fingers on it the right or should i say, wrong way.

No complaints, nothing but love for the phone. The screen design is beautiful, due to the all black, makes it look like a huge bezel-less screen.

Noticed something maybe you guys could help out with, in the camera app settings, there's the ois, icon of shaky hand with OIS word then there's another mode if you tap that same icon showing the shaky hand with HD and what seems to be a camera. What's the difference? I went through the help section but still didn't get it.

Glad you got a good one! Enjoy. I have no idea what that icon is, so looked it up in the manual (Googled for LG G5 manual, found it here - LG G5 Manual / User Guide ). Its shown on Page 84 along with every single settings icon, as follows:

Reduce motion blur when taking a photo or recording a video:
• [steady icon] : Record a video stably when you are moving or walking.
• [ios icon] : Use to reduce little blur while taking a photo or recording a video.

So it looks like one is if you are moving, and the other is if your subjects are moving. Not sure how it implements those differently.

Awesome man, really appreciate your help with this. Makes sense that the icon with the camera was for video but as you said is for more intense motion blur. Thanks 👍

Ran into a bump.. notice at work i have anywhere from two to one singal bars at most. This seems to have drained my battery compeltely. I have screen usage 39% and another 40% "Network". I can't use wifi calling so it seems i'll be stuck trying to find signal and this eating away my battery. I start my day at 7am and by 3pm had 18%, normally at this point at well over 50 or at leats at 50% battery. Haven't been using the phone any more than the usual.

Any ideas? Anything i could do, settings to adjust? Really appreciate it.
