Reception Issue on Edge Network Help!!!

Hey guys! Had the G1 No problems got the Samsung and my Edge reception suck It bounces all over the place. 4 bars to 0 bars. Calls go into voice mail etc. I have it set on the 2G network and that did not help. The G1 is 4 bars strong in the same spot. They sent me another phone same thing.

I am sending this back on Monday unless someone can tell me someting I can do to get a steady signal on Edge. I have a tower 2 miles from me.
