Recognize my phone as desktop computer

I have a Samsung on5 phone and that's all I have. I've found no less than 3 websites and apps that works only with a laptop or desktop computer, and it keeps me from getting my work done. I've heard that there is a way to trick these sites into thinking I'm using a desktop computer but need more information. Any help would be appreciated.

What browser are you using? On Google Chrome, if you tap the overflow menu (3 dots, top right corner) you can select to request the desktop site.

Welcome to Android Central. As noted above, Firefox and Samsung Internet also have desktop modes accessed thru their settings. The webpages will be very hard to read though.
