Recommendations for a dash mount to grip a wallet style case

I have a Pixel 3XL. I've tried a few regular dash mounts but they don't grab the wallet style case very well because it grabs differently on one side than the other. I never see advertised the dash mounts showing a wallet style.

I have not tried that one. Looking at the pictures it looks pretty nice but I don't see anything much different than others. Does iOttie work a little better for folio/wallet cases?

My experience is that the clamps tend to not grip the sides very well because one side is grabbing the non firm folded leather and the other side is grabbing the slight edge of leather that extends past the plastic part of the case that is actually holding the phone, so that it doesn't really feel stable.

It's why I have to remove the wallet/folio case when I attach a phone to a selfie-stick that also uses standard gripping schemes. I've had the phone fall out of the selfie-stick clamp when I've had the wallet/folio case on on the phone.

I can't speak to how it works with that style case, sorry. The side grips are spring-loaded, they retract (putting pressure on the device) when that "pad" on the flat part is touched. The other tabs are squeezed to release it. It looks like Best Buy might carry them in store, maybe you could go there if you have one nearby and try it out?
