recommended apps for Note 8.0?

I have a new Note 8.0 and was wondering what particular apps might work best with it. I am especially interested in a really good drawing and painting app with a flood fill tool and provision for cropping and resizing of images, an app to do very basic photo editing, like crops and such and perhaps some filtering, and anything that makes interesting use of the S Pen.

Recs for a good basic game or two would also be welcome-- one can't live forever on Bejeweled Blitz. Is there a version of Bejeweled that includes Diamond Mine? I am also looking for a really well done version of Mille Bornes.

Thanks!

I recommend Autodesk Sketchbook Pro. I was using the mobile version of this app and when I bought my GN 8.0 and got the $25 google play store credit, I purchased the Pro version. I did a drawing of my Dog and was amazed at how accurate and detailed I could get with it. Definitely worth the money.
I've been looking into purchasing Clover Paint, because I read some really good reviews on it. It's $6.99 for the app, so I tried the Free Lite Version called Clover Memo and it does some nice stuff, but it's not that user friendly as far as the UI. Either one though is good. I do like to draw, but find the 8.0 a bit difficult to draw on with my current case, so use my GN 10.1 more for drawing. The extra screen space is nice to have. I feel cramped on the 8.0. I do play draw something a lot on the 8.0 though.

Right now besides Pinball Arcade, my two favorite games are Pool Break Pro and Subway Surfers.

Thanks for the advice. What I really need in a drawing/painting app is the ability to save in .jpg, .jpeg, .png or .gif formats, since those are the ones WordPress accepts and I want to be able to post some of my tablet art on my blog.

Also, is there some way to save the drawings I've been making in S Note in another format? Can I, for instance, open them in Photoshop Touch or some other image manipulation app and save them as .jpgs?

In S Note you can save your drawings as a .jpg by the Share Via option in the menu at the top right corner. I usually Share Via, then it will ask to save as a .jpg, .txt, or the native S note extension in the next window that pops up, then you can choose .jpg. Then after that, the next window that pops up will ask which app you would like to save it to. I usually save my drawings to dropbox or the Gallery on the GN. Hope that helps.

It certainly does-- thanks, Andy. Who would have thought that "share via" gives you what you need to "save as", but as long as it works, it's fine.
Reminds me of the old Steve Martin routine: "It's like the French have a different word for *everything*." I'm pretty sure this Android gadget can do all the things I'm used to doing with my Windows XP/7 and iOS devices-- I just have to learn to speak its language.

Finally got back home to my new tablet this morning, made a new drawing in S note, saved it as normal, and went to try the "share via" tip to save it as jpg. I couldn't find a menu in upper right of the screen when I reopened my saved drawing on the S Note main page. Any help on the right place to find this menu?

Thanks.

My Bad, Yardcoyote. I was giving you directions to get to Share Via on my 10.1 not my 8.0. On the 8.0, press the menu button on the left side of the HOME hard button on the bottom of the 8.0. You should see the option to Share Via there. Sorry about that. It is a lot different between the two devices.

Aha. Thank you so much. That makes sense-- I noticed when I was comparing the two devices that the 10.1 has the home, back and menu buttons on screen and the 8.0 has them as physical buttons on the bezel. I didn't think this was a huge deal at the time (and I chose the 8.0 for its convenient size and light weight), but now that I'm actually using the 8.0 I kind of wish they were on screen.

I've partially solved the ergonomic issue by working with my 8.0 held "upside down", since I'm right handed and this keeps the buttons away from my right hand and wrist. But this does mean that I tend to ignore the buttons entirely-- and I need to remember that my hamburger menu button is on the bezel at the top or the left (depending on orientation) instead of at the top of the screen at my right where I'd kind of expect it to be. What an odd little gadget this is.
