Whitestone is not fingerprint compatible. Can you get it to work? Yes. Does it work even close to 80% of the time? No

I did not know that, even though it states that it is? That is good to know as one of the main "must be able to work" requirements I will need for a screen protector is fingerprint compatible.

Thank you for your input.

I've used WhiteDome Tempered Glass screen protectors in the past and really like it. However, I now see there are cheaper alternatives than WhiteDome and I am wondering if any have used these ones for their s21 Ultra and recommend it and/or recommend any other ones?

Thank you

I have my S21U on order and bought the amFilm TGSP to go with it. Installation seems simple enough, but I appreciate that it comes with the weighted cylinder to place over the fingerprint area (which is also stamped) to ensure that it has no issues registering prints. I plan on installing it before my initial power on so it'll be ready to go.

My Whitestone Dome on the S21 Ultra works pretty good. Maybe not 100% but at least 90% of the time.

I've had problems with WSD on past devices but not on the S21 Ultra.

I have no issue with fingerprint and whitestone. Its not perfect but well over 90%

Seems like those who have responded like the Whitestone. I probably will to, but wondering if any of the other, less expensive ones are just as good as WhiteStone?

White stone works really good with fingerprint since my s10+ , note 20+ , Note 20U

Thanks for that recommendation. Glass feels like the original screen?

I've been contemplating between liquid glue or press on like you have.

It feels as close to phone glass as any screen protector I've ever used.

I've never used the liquid glue ones, but ppl here swear by them. I just don't feel it's necessary when cheaper ones like this get the job done for me.

I have this one and it works decently well. It comes with 3 screen and 3 camera. I only use the screen protectors.

Issues I have had so far are the first on bubbled under the edge on the left. Not severely but enough to annoy me every day.

The second one got caught under my fingernail when I was pulling phone out if my pocket. I still haven't figured out how my finger nail perfectly aligned with the gap between my case and the protector to achieve this feat.

The 3rd is going strong and has no issues.

Installation tips would be to make sure screen sensitivity setting is toggled off when you place it. I would also delete all finger prints before putting it on. Once the screen protector is on turn on the screen sensitivity setting and then register your finger print. I did my thumb 3 different times from 3 different angles. Set up the first with the phone in normal portrait. Then set up the second with the phone on its side in landscape position. Set the third with the phone upside down in portrait.

I would say I get around 90-95 first try unlocks. I will say that for some reason you will probably have to set up your finger prints again after about the first day. I don't know why but I have read that and experienced it with all 3 of these. After that it works with out having to set them up again.

For 8 bucks I really can't complain all that much, it fits really well with my spigen liquid crystal case. Screenshot_20210511-123924_Amazon%20Shopping.jpg

Seems like the only tempered screen protectors that users are recommending are liquid glue base ones that does work with fingerprint. Is WDS the only one worth getting? Any other users used other liquid base ones for much cheaper than WDS?

Thanks

I got the 'Invisible Shield Glassfusion+ with D3O protection' No idea what the D3O protection is - lol It is expensive!

So far so good, on phone for two days now and no problems. Now, I do not use fingerprint option, just a pin. I did set my sensitivity to high(er), which worked better once the screen protector was on.

I think so , pricey but I think best bet for curved screen.

I am using the spigen glass protector whis is applied with liquid glue. It looks good, feels good and the fingerprint sensor works without problems.

I decided to get the amFilm Tempered Glass Protector: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU6950577

after just a few days of using it, I am returning it. Fingerprint is hit or miss, which is never reliable when i need to use it. It also takes me few tried for my touch to register when clicking on things. Never had that issue when it wasnt on.

Going to try another product, which is not tempered glass. But I want at least something to protect the screen that fingerprint can work and does not affect the touch.

Not true. But it does work better if you toggle on screen sensitivity under the display settings.
