Record button on notification panel

This new record button just appeared on my phone yesterday. It may have been before that but this is the first time I noticed it. Is it a screen record function, or is it part of the game mode? Or am I just missing something and it has been there for a while? Because I've tried recording with it but I cannot find where the recordings go. If anyone could help me out on this, I would very much appreciate it. because I'm working on a project right now for Halloween, and I'm using the game mode to create song images for my hologram projector. Going to look killer when I get done. Okay thanks everyone I really appreciate your time.

If you press and hold on it it should open the app responsible for it.
Or if you tap on the text under it it will show you additional information.

It's just an app called "Easy Voice Recorder". I had the same question when it kept popping up as an update. It is just easy access to a voice recorder.
