Recover deleted photos/videos Galaxy S8+

Hi all,

A few weeks ago I accidentally deleted some very important photos/videos out of my camera folder and I've been desperately trying to get them back. All I can find are apps that require rooting. Is there any other way? If not how hard is it to root?

Are you syncing with Google Photos? If so, then your photos may be in its trash bin (they're kept there for 30 days).

Wouldn't my phone need to be rooted to make this work? That's how it is on all the other apps I tried
