Recover hidden files

With my LG G6 I hid some pics and video files on an SD card using the hide pics options. I did not use an outside app. I just bought the S9 and traded in the G6. I forgot to unhide the pics and want know how I can view the hidden files on the SD card while using the S9?

Maybe you can go to a store, put your card in a G6 and unhide them?

Have you tried putting in the SD card into your PC? might be able to see the files on pc, then maybe right click the file to bring up the properties and adjust the attributes of it to be unhidden?
