Recovering from losing 4G

Does anyone else have to turn airplane mode on and off when losing 4G? It really rarely goes back to 4G on its own. My only complaint on what I consider one of the most underrated phones ever released...

Very rarely does that happen on my end but it did happen once or twice that were I tried doing that to restore 4G. It could have been that I was just impatient.

Most Android phones have this problem. Is there an app that will let you jump back to 4g without actually disconnecting it?

Very rarely. My Galaxy s6 was absolutely awful for having to do this all the time. My s7 Edge was much better my G5 beats them hands down for keeping 4g

Not That I'm aware of. There used to be an app that you could run to find the strongest cell signal but all it really did was turn airplane mode on and phone. The problem is once you lose 4G it does not always come back right away.

My g5 does that when streaming music or when I turn airplane mode off. It'll say 4g for about 30 seconds to a minute before switching back to LTE.
