Android Central Question
Galaxy S7 Edge owner here with BlackDiamond N8 Port V10 custom ROM and Morogoku Kernel v8.4
Not having any previous issues before with a custom ROM and Kernel combo - to preemptively take care of any advices in that regard - it's been around a week that my mobile started being unable to get updates for Beta apps only which were Instagram and Netflix for that time being.
Removing those apps altogether and re-installing them via visiting Google Play Store on PC solved the problem - until the next update came along of course.
Now none of the app updates succeed. Here is what exactly happens:
Assume App X's update size is 50 MB. When I start the update, it downloads well over 50 MB, say 72 MB, it restarts downloading again from 0, it reaches 100% like this 2 or 3 times after which it gives up and gives "can't install App X, Try again and if it still doesn't work see common ways to fix the problem" error in the notification area.
1- Uninstalled Play Store updates, cleared cache and data
2- Cleared Google Play Services cache and removed data
3- Manually updated both via apks from Apkmirror.com
4- Event went as far to delete hosts.txt altogether as it was a last resort solution.
The issue persists. It's reached an extent that I cannot run apps or games anymore because they asked to be updated in title screen.
Any ideas please?
