Hi guys after trying to install Zefie's CM7, I now have a red Lg logo instead of a silver one and it's stuck at that screen. Boot recovery is a no go. It just wipes a bunch of things and reboots. Can someone please help?

EDIT: FIXED! Thanks FastBootRoot!!

You can or can't get into recovery? IF you can flash a different rom then do, Zefies has been dead for a long time.

I guess I can't? All it does it factory reset then reboots. I don't know if I can flash a different rom at this point.

Well if you turn it all the way off and then hold the volume up, (settings or home key) cant remember which lol, and the power button does it go into your recovery? I assume it does if it goes into some kind of reset?

Still nothing. Either A. I'm not doing it right or B. It's screwed.

one of the two links that squid listed should fix your issue. I'm not sure what's causing it as I have never had a boot loop like that. Just the blue fastboot screen lol.

Yeah, it should be the volume down, home and power buttons. Pressing all 3 until the 'LG' logo appears should get you into recovery. And hopefully you made a backup before flashing.
I know you might be on the brink of freaking right now  ... but now is the time to breath and read. I've had to do that a few times to get me out of a jam or two.

Probably the best advice right there. Over panicking is more likely going to cause more damage.

Thanks guys. But I'm starting to think I have a brick. I can not bring up the recovery menu for the life of me,
thanks bigsupersquid, but neither of those suggestions helped me. I think I'm stuck.

Try pulling the battery and waiting a minute or two. Then, all at the same time, press and hold the home, volume up, and power buttons. Release them when the first LG splash screen comes up. That shpuld bring you to the recovery.

ok, try this then...

if you're more technically oriented you can type the commands instead of using asdullah's program.
once you've flashed the xionia recovery from mmarz's post I put up earlier you'll probably be ok.
fastboot is the surest way to flash a malfunctioning optimus.
Pull the batery then replace it. hold the home, volume DOWN and power button at the same time. When he lg screen appears you can release the buttons. The phone should then go into recovery. From there you should be able to restore your backup. Let us know.

It's weird, I have always used volume up and it has always worked for me. Does it always work with either up or down or am I just a freak? lol

Just wanted to let you know that I just got into recovery using your method. So it does'nt matter if its volume up or down . I never tested it before, always thought it was volume down. That is freaky.
