Redmi Note 5 Android 9 Update Download Loop [Solved]

Hello, I am the owner of a Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, which recently prompted me to download the latest Android update, that being Android 9. Everything was going smoothly, until I got an error message telling me the
download failed and then it proceeded to restart. I didn't think much of it at the time, went to sleep and resumed the download in the morning. It's been two days now and the download just keeps restarting with no notifications whatsoever. It keeps reaching a certain percentage and it restarts. Any ideas?

TL;DR: My system update is stuck in a download loop and I don't know what to do.

Welcome to Android Central! Does the phone work normally otherwise? Have you tried using Mi PC Suite to update instead? Mi PC Suite

Hey, OP here. After I left it on it's own devices for a couple of hours it finally managed to download it... Sorry this probably wont be of any use to anyone...
