Android Central Question

Amazon sent me a replacement Kindle when UPS seems to have lost the original shipment. However, both were ultimately delivered. However, the first one, the seemingly lost, but not, one cannot be registered to my account. Apparently, Amazon put some kind of a block on it when they sent a replacement. Naturally, I am in favor of profiting from their error. Suggestions? Short of informing Amazon!

It is a known security flaw that when you order an Amazon product such as Kindle or fire tablet it is registered with your info prior to shipping.
If intercepted the theif can get alot of info from the device, so it was deactivated. Forever.
Be cautious if gifting even a new device from Amazon. First power it on and deregister it before ever signing in.

Contact Amazon and ask for a return label. They pay the return shipping, just drop the box in a mailbox. Don't be a thief.
