reinstalling programs after root

after i rooted i reinstalled juice defender because it wasn't handling my wifi right and it asked for superuser permission. i'm wondering if there are any other programs i should be reinstalling now...

what are you trying to do reinstall your old apps?

there are no apps you "need" to reinstall.
some apps will ask for super user permission that's normal

what i meant was that juicedefender didnt' ask for super user permission until after i tried to reinstall it after root. i'm wondering if other apps like spare parts or astra would benifit from a reinstall to get superuser permission.

Superuser will save your "Allow" selection for apps if that little check box is checked on the pop-up. Are you sure you didn't click Allow once and forgot about it? That would explain why Superuser asked for permission again once you reinstalled the app.

ok i think i'm not explaining this right

my phone was not rooted.
i had juice defender installed
i rooted my phone
i reinstalled juice defender due to it not working correctly
i noticed that when i reinstalled juicedefender it asked for superuser permission.

so my question is, if there are other programs on my phone that can access superuser that i had on there before i rooted, do i have to reinstall them to gain that access?

I had an issue with Juice Defender. I rooted my phone & ran the set up on Juice Defender again because the 3G connection would turn off when I had the screen turned off. Well, it asked me to install some AOSP app and so of course I went through with it and it said failed and J.D. would just get stuck in the set-up screen. That only happened after I rooted though. I didn't do it before hand... so... I'm not sure. I loved it but now that I can't get it to work so I just use DCSwitch...

the answer is no. just do whatever you do. as you put in new roms and restore your apps, itll ask for root permission (ONCE YOU OPEN THEM)
otherwise it really does not matter.

if you want to make sure all your apps have super user permission then by all means go ahead. idk what ones get it though but to list a few:
titanium backup - wireless tether - rom manager
