Release Date

CW... Thank you very much and I will watch the video tonight when I get home from work and will for sure stay in touch with you, I have added you and several others to my contact list.

There you are! I'm getting the HTC Thunderbolt! For sure! My upgrade was bumped. I'm excited.

I'm thinking the dual core is awesome but I don't do any gaming so I don't think I need that right now.

The TB is out in 2 weeks.

So what was your bump time? From March 17th till what? Also I am happy for you. I am going to wait until March 12th, try the tbolt and or buy it or wait for the Bionic as I spoke to you about yesterday.

Verizon 4G LTE Phone Release Dates?

Now, take this all as speculation at this time. We?re just going with every little detail that?s been dropped at our doorstep and are then attempting to piece the story together. All I can say is, can these get here fast enough? Anyone else bored with all of the current devices?

Preach 2K - thanks so much for the large sidexside visual. I am debating between these 2 phones and seeing them both side by side in more real size was very helpful to me. As far as can they get here fast enough - well, I can't upgrade until Feb 27 so the Thunderbolt will be avail but no, the Bionic won't get here fast enough for me :)

Sorry off topic...but can the Bionic have the time/date/weather look of the HTC?

LOL ... never having had an Android yet and looking seriously at the Thunderbolt I'm hoping that the time/date/weather can be removed or at the very least made much smaller - takes up wayyyyy to much screen real estate for my liking.

Isn't that kind of a dead give-away?

Theoretically yeah, and if Verizon REALLY wanted to they could take a look at where the packets are coming from and could detect what sort of browser you're using. The chances of them actually doing this and enforcing it upon you are virtually none, as far as I'm concerned.

It can definitely be removed.

I like that look as long as I can put my own background on it!

I feel like this whole section of the forum has died with all of the TB action! We need to get this place jacked up again!

How did you get your upgrade bumpbed? I'm at March 15 - getting ready to leave the country. . . and would like to take a droid with me. :)

Thanks!

Sometimes if you speak to the right CR rep either over the phone (where you'll probably have the most luck) or in the store, you can get them to bump up your eligibility date with a little sweet talking. ;)

With VZW pushing back the TBolt and refusing to give any information surrounding the Bionic's release date, I may be taking my business to AT&T with the Atrix. A 4G network does me absolutely no good without a 4G phone.

Of course, if we want a REAL 4G LTE network, then we have to wait for a Verizon LTE Phone. AT&T did the same thing Sprint did...they are really offering "3.5G", not true 4G. I live near a big city and I would never go to AT&T for anything...dropped calls are the norm - my brother and my old work have AT&T and they have to call back at least once during most phone calls. When I talk to other Verizon users I do not have that problem. I think waiting a few more weeks is worth it.

Dont you mean AT&T did the same thing Tmobile did with this HSPA? Sprints wimax speeds are pretty identical to Verizon's LTE speedtests from what i've seen. Im buying the Thunderbolt and the only thing that really concerns me is the fact that Verizon was getting around 12 megs tops and thats with very few people actually using LTE so far. Once there are a ton of people using it thats going to change.

A lot of people at CES were seeing speeds in excess of 30 down and 12-15 up.

Honestly I'm eying the iPhone and bionic still not sure which one. A change sounds kinda nice but I have to much in android to just start all over again

You kind of sound like me, i love android, but i'm eying the iPhone also, but i would also get a Android Tablet, so therfore i wouldn't really be doing away with Android so to speak...

so what is the latest on the release date?

Internet has been relatively silent on the bionic for the past week or two. As far as I know, unfortunately still "late q2" although I would LOVE to see a April release.
