Ah could have been the T-Mobile one. Last week when I was there, though, the same display had a dummy on it. It was a huge endcap, tauting Pure Google or something of the sort. I just assumed it was Sprint, but you are probably right.

I live in indiana and I used the t-mobile NS just to get a feel for the os and absolutely love the phone.
I was at my Sprint store today and I asked about the rebate situation. He said that there has been some talk about discontinuing them but then they have activated more phones since they did away with the mail in thing so they are rethinking it. He thought they should just keep on like they have been. He said it took Best Buy a long time to get all the carriers to agree to that when they first started doing it so it make take a little while for them to make up their minds. The last mail in rebate that I did (3 months ago) took a full 8 weeks to get back to me. I find that completely unacceptable.
I'm still going to say it will be before May 8th. I really don't think they will launch the same day as the Replenish just because I have NEVER seen them do two devices in one day. I am going to bet it will be here a week from today or before... any takers?
I say May 15. I also don't think they'll launch the same day as the replenish. And I don't see them launching until training is over, so I don't see it launcing on the 1st. Hope I'm wrong.
May 15 or 22 locked. They will not release 2 devices at the same time. When is playbook launching will knock one of those dates out
well, good news for me. After some disappointing conversations on friday with various Sprint entities i talked to my wife about not being happy with my device (evo). We were about this close (fingers one inch apart) to switching to T-mobile for a coulple of g2x's. In the end I decided that Sprint was the best carrier for us and I told her we would just cancel my line and I would go without a phone until one I liked came out. I was afraid of losing our $125 port in credit but they activated an old pink Katana that my wife had as a place holder. This was my original plan (to have a place holder phone) that I was originally to was a no go. I was also told I could upgrade whenever I found a phone I liked. So as long as I can stand being seen with a with a pink flip phone I may wait until the evo 3d comes out, we shall see. All of this happened with a new girl at Sprint at 8:40 on Sat night, the last day of our 30 day trial. We had just come from T-mobille and we had to decide. The girl ended up staying till about 9:50 (they close at 9,we had to go home to get the Katana) and she was as nice as can be. I tried to give her a $20 but she refused. I now have the option of getting a great phone and a good customer service story. Thanks
Wow this is crazy, I just want this phone right now and I can't get it......I guess the most recent leak was for training, I thought for sure it was a release date. oh well, back to waiting

Another main reason the delay is, what happened in Japan. It has caused a major shortage of cell phones be being made.

I refuse to wait until 5/21. If it doesn't come out on the first I am just going to get another phone. I've been using an original Rumor since the 14th and I can't take it anymore.
I don't blame you. Sprint is really shooting itself in the foot by not providing us with ANY kind of info.
What is valid? There's no offer on this, so I don't see why they put a "valid" date. Maybe they are only the exclusive retailer until the 21st?
I wouldn't read in to this at all. If anything, this should tell you Best Buy expects Sprint to launch it during this time period. Still could be May 1, 8, 15 or 21.
I doubt they would launch it a month after they started training unless it really does have to do with production issues that they have no control over. In that case, they should tell us. I would understand and I would wait. I mean, in the grand scheme of things, there are a lot of people trying to get food/water/shelter in Japan, I can wait an extra month for the Nexus.
