I just stopped by the sprint store to ask about the "buy up" plan and of course asked about the Nexus S and was told it would be out in the summer. I don't think he knew what he was talking about

How can a Sprint employee at a official Sprint store be so clueless, I am gonna stop today by and ask "by summer did you mean May 8th?" :p and I stopped by yesterday 4-25-11

My only question now is: I was in the test group for GV+Sprint # and I'm probably going to be cancelling my contract and pay the ETF then get this for 199 since it will be cheaper than paying the full price. Would this mess up my GV/Sprint # now? #confused

Don't know about the GV part of it but I am in the same boat as far as paying ETF and getting it cheaper that way. This is what I was told.

It would be cheaper to cxl, pay early cxl fee and start a new policy with the $199 rate and I could use my companies disc. I gotta stop by sprint and see what the deal is. Anyone kind of in the same boat as me?

I gotta get the nexus s!
I have. I was on the phone with Sprint for 45mins a couple weeks ago complaining about wanting to upgrade and having my 12 month upgrade taken away. He told me about this "Buy Up" program where essentially you pay the ETF and then recontract for 2 years and get the phone for $199. Thing is, you don't really want to cancel your service because you will lose your number. Make sure that you ask about this "program" when it comes time to get the phone.
