Remap hardware buttons? HTC EVO V 4G

Hello everyone,

Newbie over here, coming from the horrid apple phone....

I have the HTC EVO V 4G, and want to remap the hardware buttons. I have rooted the phone, so all options are on the table.

I am looking to remap the buttons on the phone (physical buttons). Preferably, I would love to make the 3d / 2d camera slider the mute/unmute button, and the camera button the on/off button.

Any advise on how to do that?
