I use MultiRemote. Works for me and gets the job done. It does require your Wifi connection to be setup. I believe any others would also be. Make sure you read any prompts as you install this. It gave me a link to go to that I had to install a server on my computer and follow steps on a website for it to work properly. I had to forward a port in my router.
1. Desktop Remote Free - Allows you to control the mouse and keyboard (using the same wifi network)
2. Phone My PC - Will cost you $9.99 but it is a great app that allows full remote control over your pc as well as different options such as viewing the remote pc, controlling only the mouse, etc. The plus for this one is it works over 3G also.
This is one of my favorite things about having an Android phone. I tried many of the apps that do this, but I rested upon one: My Remote - the free version. It works with your mouse and keyboard (inserting text is a little weird as you have to type it on your phone and then send the text to the desktop), but my favorite thing is that it ALSO works great with Win7 Media Center.
My gripes with the app:
- Sending text is wonky. Just lemme type and send the letters to the desktop just like everybody else.
- It doesn't give you an option to save the PCs that you connect to - it just remembers the last one that you used. It would be great to be able to save the connections, as I regularly control both my HTPC and a laptop at various times.
