I'm rooted and I kind of forgot how to remove bloatware. Correct me if I'm wrong but don't you just use astro or any file manager and just go to /root/system/app and delete the stock apps.vzw?

Before you start make sure you made a nandroid backup. I have always used root explorer and if you rename the apps from apk to bak they will no longer show up. This way if you need to add them back for an update they will still be available.

Read the sticky by Cory on the Thunderbolt hacking forum for tips like the one mclarryjr gave before doing anything. The post also keeps a list of which apks and odexes are safe to move/rename.

That being said, you would need Root Explorer or adb/terminal emulator to be able to move or rename the files (don't delete just yet) so thy don't get loaded by the OS. If you are using adb or terminal you will need to prefix most of your commands with the busybox binary.
