I'm wondering how to remove the stupid sub icons that appear when you create a shortcut to an app from another app (as pictured in the link).

Is there any way to remove this sub icon as it looks ugly, I want the shortcut to stay but the sub icon to go away.

All my galaxies before this never did this, so I guess it might be new to tell you where you created the shortcut or something :(

I'm using a Galaxy S9+ :)

If you're talking about the little pink C icon on the Snapchat icon, that's your CocoPPa wallpaper dressup. Uninstall CocoPPa. (You might have to remove any "dressed-up" shortcuts and create them again after you do that.)

No, I'm referring to creating a customised shortcut made in cocoPPa, but when made does not have the cocoPPa icon 'watermarked' on the customised icon. If that makes sense

Mine did the same thing when my lg g6 updated to oreo 8.0. I have not found a workaround. My icons never had the watermark and now they do. My icons defaulted back to the original app icons when my phone updated and ever since then I can't get cocoppa to do an icon without the watermark. Did you ever find a workaround? I attached a photo to show the difference in the 3 in case it would help.

Hi ! I have the exact same problem. I remember back in the day with my old phone I had this app and had a lot of cute icons. I remembered the app today suddendly and wanted those cute icons again. i made an icon and used it and it had that awful little badge of the app with it. I think it's an update from the app for more publicity. It's very frustrating. If someone knows a sulotion I like to know too! (I have a samsung galaxy s7)

I'm finding that this is happening when you create any short cut edge, chrome, and other icon changing apps do it too. Is there possibly a setting on the phones system that can be changed?

Even I'm having the same stupid problems. Whenever I'm adding any shortcut to my home screen there is this watermark on the app. I completely hate it. I used to live cocoppa so much but now it has just become useless. If somebody got the solution then plz let me know. I have Samsung on8

Hi guys,
I'm developer of Shortcut Creator app for Android. Since this app creates shortcuts also on apps then the issue described above is the most terrible problem starting from Android 8.

Actually the Android system do this automatically, i.e. for launchers there is special API which generates shortcut icon with app badge. Actually the launchers can use other API, but in most of them use way which described in official documentation for support new Android 8 "feature" which was created for help users to understand which app created the shortcut.

So the issue can be resolved on launcher side, or via one workaround - adding from widgets: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcjvAcQ9Ytc&index=6&list=PLSjPZnuvXFDGtrxRs4N4XEes1t5XnWasn

Hello,

Can anybody provide step by step instructions for this. I have a Samsung galaxy s9 and I am having the same issue. I downloaded both Cocoppa and shortcut creator but I just can't figure out how to get it to work. I just want the shortcut created with Cocoppa, but without the Cocoppa watermark, if it is even possible. -Thank you
