Will this work if I have disconnected from google drive for safety reasons ?

It does give me the option to press ERASE ?

Also if my phone is off line will it be erased ?
Once you hit erase if phone offline the next time its online it will start the erase process, but you won't be able to track it again after erase .

ThanK you for your reply , I have imei number could I use that in anyway to wipe the data from the phone if it is currently off line ?

No the IMEI number on shows in find my phone if you have multiple phones to that account which to erase

Once you erase it will factory reset like getting a phone new and setting up , it still have your account protection to stop anyone from using the phone but all data will be erased

My phone is still switched off ,I have requested what you suggested.

In the mean time could you answer this question

If I have obtained a new sim card and used my old number to log onto whatsapp using a different device , I have then deleted my whatsapp account for that number ( not uninstalled)

Would my whatsapp account on the lost device be removed and all data wiped from the phone ?

Regards

It's possible that way would work but nothing going take place until that phone gets back online and when it does it will be factory reset so no Information would be obtained .

Ok thanks

Would that still be the case if they have a computer program to retreive the deleted material ,my friend says that is possible ? My other friend says Samsung 7 8 and 9 are auto encrypted ? Is that true ?

Thank you for your replies

They would have to be highly sophisticated theif lol your average one wouldn't even bother to get that far . Unless your a really important person like a politician and they want your Information that bad maybe , but I wouldn't really be too concerned. Your welcome!

I have obtained a new sim card registered to my old number ,then using a new device ... I logged on to whatsapp and DELETED the account! (Not uninstalled ) ... if the phone is switched off while the data still disappear from the old device ?
A. If the answer is YES can the data be retreived in any way

B. If the answer is NO then how can I make sure it can not be retrieved ?

I have send a number of erase my dat a requests all are pending ?

If I have disconnected my old device from google drive is there anyway I could reconnect it ??

I have been told that unless the old device is on the grid so to speak it won't pick up the erase request ? Will it still be possible to block IMEI number and there for block data extraction ?

Could some one try and answer this as clear as possible ...

Regards

The data can be retrieved a) if the phone was rooted (which I'm guessing it wasn't) and b) they turn it on ... but ... when they turn it on, it will be factory reset, so there won't be anything to retrieve. (The data can not be retrieved with the phone off, unless they open the phone and remove the antennas before turning it on - which no one would probably do.)

Thank you for your reply. ..

To clarify this ... the what's app account in question has been deleted on a new device, regardless if the old device is on or off will the data be removed from the device?

Would you be able to inform me if or how a device can be reconnected to google drive if it has been disconnected? This would have to be done remotly .... also the issue of the device either being offline or turned off ?

One more point of question ,if the device was removed from said google drive account prior to the request for a remote wipe - factory reset. .. would the request still fuction ?

Thank you for your responses to date

Regards

Well the wipe hasn't connected and I have accidently disconnected from google drive on the device and need to reconnect to it .... is there any way that is possible ?

Thanks
