Is there any way to move/remove the Google Search (OK Google) widget from the top of the home screen? I don't use it and would like the space for something else.

I'd love to know if this is possible as well.

I NEVER use the search bar and it just adds clutter. Even if I cant put icons in it's place, I hate how it looks sitting there and it's annoying when I accidentally press it.

^ That is the only way to get rid of it. You also loose the "Okay Google" feature.

And the swipe up from home for Google Now. If those features are not desirable then going the launcher route is a great idea.

Like others have said you have to replace the launcher with another one. I use Go Launcher. Also, you can still use OK Google by pressing the home button, swiping up and then saying "OK Google".
