Alright. So I've decided that I want to get rid of the empty status bar area and have a full immersive screen. You know, where you're viewing content from top to bottom with no bar. I've tried 2 different immersive screen apps and plugged in the appropriate adb commands. The commands went in without a hitch. The problem is, instead of giving me full content it only blacked out the status bar. I was able to do this on my S8+ with no issue and no black bar. Full content. Has anyone been able to pull this off with your S10? If so, which app did you find that worked? Thanks ahead!

I'd like to know this, as well. With BxActions, I'm able to press the Bixby button to go into "Immersive Mode," but it just does the thing you described: the text/icons in the status bar disappear, but the status bar is still there.

The only way I've seen this could be done is by cloning the app you want to be fullscreen and then modifying the app code to allow it to go over the status bar. Google apparently hardcoded something into Android pie and up that doesn't allow this to happen easily iirc

Which is a shame, loved immersive mode on my S8. Even paid for an app that only triggered certain apps to be full immersive (Instagram, TD Bank, iFunny) because not all apps worked well (message apps always suffered for some reason)

I think if the next phone doesn't have a hole punch/notch then it'll be easier I'm pretty sure that's the reason why it's so difficult

Could be. There are a few apps the run full screen. Like parts of Yahoo News. It's a nice look too me. Oh well.
I agree. Especially the newer update to Google maps when navigating it becomes full screen it's such a nice touch. Maybe if the demand becomes greater the devs will implement full screen apps sooner than later
