Removing Zagg Glass from One Pixel to Another

I've had my Pixel 2 XL since last Wed. Verizon put a Zagg glass screen protector on it. I've decided the phone is defective (camera and audio) and will be exchanging it tomorrow for another one. (DH will be getting the Pixel. I've decided to go with the S9+.) Can the screen protector successfully be removed and put on the new Pixel? If not, can I expect Verizon to give me a new one since the phone is defective? That was a $54 screen protector :o
Thanks
btw, I talked about the horrible amt of noise in low light but I've discovered yet another issue. When taking a video in a completely QUIET room, there is a loud static noise (not just white noise) that comes and goes. It might last a few seconds and fade out, then start again and repeat.

The screen protector can't really be re-applied, and I'm not sure Verizon would replace it with a new device. I'm guessing they won't, but you could always ask.

As for the audio quality of videos recorded in a quiet room, that is one that all Pixel 2 XL units suffer from. Yes, I'm going to say "all" in this case as I've yet to see a unit that doesn't experience this. I often use the example of trying to record a video of my cat purring - it just doesn't work well on the Pixel 2 XL.

As the user above me stated, you can always inquire about the screen protector, saying something like, "this screen protector is really awesome, and I really want to use it again on my next Pixel. Since I just paid for it and you were so great to apply it in-store, is there anything you can do for me to make my experience just as great this time around?" Talking to them in a buttering-up sort of way will have more of an impact - trust me!

I am the Queen of buttering up or as my husband calls it "making people feel like they're a rock star" LOL
Batting long dark eyelashes help too ;) And I'll remind them I've been a good standing customer for over 20 years. They DO waive the activation fee every time we update. So that's nice of them. But, I was really hoping it could be reapplied to a new phone. Keep your fingers crossed. I know selling accessories is a big money maker for them so if they'll replace the Zagg, I'll buy the 2018 Samsung fast charging stand (in white to go with my Lilac phone) :D

Wow, that's too bad. And the phone has been out long enough for them to have corrected that. How are your low light photos? Mine have a horrible noise problem. My S7 puts it to shame in every shot I compared. I showed the picture to others Pixel 2 XL owners and they don't have a noise issue. Also, the "fast" charging is not so fast. And if it's too cold (apparently my 65 degree bedroom is too cold!) it charges super SLOW. I had to place it on a heating pad (low and a towel over it) to get it to charge. I wanted to love this phone so much! It's the only phone I've been talking about for months. But too many issues with it.

I'm glad you have a plan! And that's great! Buttering people up is the best way to get results! As someone who used to work in customer service, I really appreciated a customer being nice to me more than someone who was yelling at me. (Not that you'd yell, but you know what I mean.)

if the phone is doa within the 14 day returns period they should exchange the screen protector as well

you can't remove a screen protector and apply it to another phone.

also, I just took a couple of 30 second videos in a quiet room. with the volume turned up I noticed a bit of white noise, but I didn't notice any weird increases or descreases of static noise. I did notice that the volume seems to increase a bit if there is slight sound, maybe in an attempt to better capture low audio or something.

There are some glass ones that can be carefully removed and reapplied but it's real difficult and anyone doing it in a store would screw it up.

Well, I certainly had my doubts about the salesperson removing and putting the (one week old) Zagg screen protector on a new phone but he did it and did it like he's been doing it 24/7 for 30 years! :o Will it stay on? I don't know but it looks perfect and I see no bubbles or any sign that it's been removed and reattached.
I tried to buy a white 2018 fast charging stand but the store doesn't carry any color other than black. Tried to buy a Zagg for the S9+ and they were out of them :o Called Best Buy, they didn't have a screen protector either. VERY nervous without a screen protector!
