This looks very interesting.

How many Pixel owners will attempt to fix their phones? I might as the closest "UBreakIFix is an hour and a half drive away for me.
Here is the guide for replacing the screen for the Pixel 6 Pro:

Mods can move this where they deem appropriate. I have a Pixel 6 Pro so I posted here.

Very cool news. Maybe I won't mind using my pixel 6 pro naked here and there.

This is great! But messing around with adhesive is a pain in the arse, bring back the screw!

Now to see the price list.
One consideration is will self-repair void the warranty or the Preferred Care coverage.

Re: Google Pixel smartphones will have DIY Repair Kits from iFixit and five years of updates

Yeah, good to see them keeping up with Samsung.

Yup. Google may be first to get a new OS update but both my S7 and Note 8 received security updates beyond 4 years and I bought my own battery replacement kit and tools online for the S7 without an issue. It really should be standard for all brands releasing Android devices.

Why would they choose iFixit when there's only 4 locations in the whole Western half of the United States?
Granted, other countries might have a better distribution of store locations, but that seems a little odd to me.

There are 20 locations in SoCal alone.

Order the parts online, and they will ship them to you. Neat!

No, thanks.

Poking around in there with all the tiny screws, micro-connectors, ultra-thin ribbon cables, and various blobs of goo scares me silly.

That’s a scary place to have an oops!

I’ll pay someone who (presumably) knows what he is doing to fix it, or buy a new one.
