repeated notifications for certain messages

I am sometimes on call and my pages go to my cell phone as sms so I do not need to carry a pager. I used to use to an app called Klaxon that was PERFECT for this purpose. It would alert for the specific phone number associated with my pager texts. I could give it an obnoxious ringtone and make it ring until I responded. Also, it had an "on call" toggle so you could easily turn it on and off.

Unfortunately this app stopped working and is no longer supported. Is there another option I can use?

As a workaround, what about assigning an actual ringtone (or a prolonged custom sound file) as the notification tone for that pager number? In your messaging app, select that thread, then tap Menu>Notifications>Advanced, and change the notification tone for that particular number. If you set it to a prolonged sound file (let's say, a 5 minute song), it'll keep playing until you dismiss the notification.

Do you not have the Notification reminder in Settings? See screenshot attached.

I know about both the options above. The thing about the specific ringtone is that I only really need it to annoy me when I'm on call (honestly when I'm on call at night since in the day time I'll see the text on my watch). The notification reminder still means I have to change the ringtone to something annoying all the time.

Klaxon was great because when I turned it on it annoyed me and then I could turn it off.
