Replacement Battery

Has anyone had their S6 long enough to have to replace the battery? If yes, would like to hear your experience. The Samsung rep told me it costs about $45 plus 2 way shipping. I charge mine frequently and it's nothing like when new. I will probably wait a while longer, but just curious if anyone has done it yet.

"I charge mine frequently" but how deeply do you discharge it? That's what determines how lojng it will last. If it's more than 60% discharge most of the time (40% charge or more left), you're killing the battery.

The last I heard, the normal replacement cost was $60 including return shipping.

Maybe that's the problem as I rarely let mine go below 50%.unlike the older Nicads, I thought modern lithium iron batteries have no memory effect and therefore no need to fully discharge the battery.

I think I got mine on April 10th so no, it would be past a year. I've been told an occasional full discharge is ok, but shallow discharges seem to prolong battery life.Actually mine is better after the 6.01 update. I like my S6 so much I plan to keep it several years as a backup.
