Replacing moto x play screen

Hi all! I've broken the outta glass on my moto x play. Everything still works fine just cracks in glass. All youtube videos are showing me to completely strip the phone from battery inwards in order to replace the glass. Can i just go for the heat gun and plectrum technique? Any advice appreciated! Many thanks

My advice would be to follow the advice of people that have already done it lol. If all the YouTube videos recommend a certain way, that's the way I would do it. But then again, I don't like taking risks! Good luck!

I just bought the gear for Replacement and paid someone to fit it. Only cost me $20 labour and they have lots of practice at it.
