Reply to Hangout / SMS via "Reply" command

so in the promo video

at about the 40 second mark, he gets a hangouts message and does nothing more than say "reply" and dictates his message. I cannot get this to work whatsoever. if i swipe left there's an option to reply where i press it and then it launches into the voice dictation, but that's not what the video is showing. is there any way to reply to an sms/ hangout via nothing but voice without having to touch the screen? i'm shouting reply into my watch for 30 minutes and nothing except really really nasty looks from my family. gear live with KMV78X fwiw

you know the more i watch that video the more it feels like googles just trolling us with unreleased features...

0:50 - active calorie counter. don't see that anywhere
1:08 - song detection. can't get that working either (another bad image of me trying to dance around thinking that triggers it)
1:16 - operate garage doors. yeah i don't even know where to start in testing that one out...

I suppose the garage door thing would be possible with IFTTT and a power socket that supported it.

This article talks about the missing features that Google has promoted in their video. I'm guessing it's stuff we will hopefully be able to do in the future. Bummed that we can't reply via voice command at the moment.

wow thanks for that! it directly addresses every one of my issues so far. good to know i don't have to drive myself crazy, but at the same time, this really sucks. i wish someone on android central with contacts on the wear team could confront them about this. seems like a good 50% of the advertised features are just not there...
