Reprogram hard buttons

Is there an app that let's you program what you want the buttons to do? I had the s4 and then the note3. I like the button to the right of home being back or enter. I also like the button to the left of home being the menu. With the s7 the definitions changed. Is there a way to reconfigure them to what I'm used to?

Yes you can if you root the phone (not sure if the phone would be root able)

No problem. I have single press as the back button on both sides, long press as recently used. Works great when holding the phone with either hand.
