In the advent that I most likely will be switching over to the Evo, I would really love to use my old OV like an IPod touch. I was wondering if anyone could optimize a ROM that would disable the cell tower antennas on the phone but keep wifi, then disable the phone and sms functions. I would also really love to see maybe ics and groove IP? DSP manner is a must.

I really love the lockscreen controls of ics, so what you could do is, before flashing the rom, remove all the apks that involve phone, like messaging.apk, phone.apk, and any other apps you really don't need and then put it in airplane mode. I know that ics is still alpha, but IMO, it has the best media player experience of any of the roms and I keep going back to it because of the awesome lockscreen controls.

Also you can put it in airplane mode with just wi-fi on.

Yeah, wifi works and so does most other stuff. If you really wanna do this the easy way, use winRAR to delete what you don't want or need from the apps folder of the rom you wanna use. Otherwise, use Titanium Backup.
