Reset my Note 2 and now can't get past Google My Account screen. Help!

OK, I've tried everything now and spent several hours on this. I'm not an Android newbie but I've never had this problem.

I'm still on a Galaxy Note 2 and decided to do a factory reset to freshen things up a bit. Unfortunately getting Google up and running isn't working out. I get the sign in screen (the samsung one for adding a Google account) then I get the 2 step text message verification mode and redirected to the browser to sign in again. It logs in just fine but I can't get past the Control, protect and secure your account......screen, the Google My Account screen.

What am I doing wrong? It's ridiculous.

OK, well I fixed it myself!

Turns out the Samsung skin and 2-step verification can't work together. Turned off 2-step momentarily and everything worked. Turned it back on and all is good.
