Hey everyone, I received my lollipop ota about 2 weeks ago now, and my nexus 5 has been getting slower and slower ever since. I haven't performed a factory reset yet, but I think that it is the only way to fix the phone. My only problem is in regards to losing all my data.
What are some of the best backup apps to use in this instance? (for txts, photos, apps, etc..)

For texts, I use SMS Backup & Restore.

For apps I use App Backup & Restore.

For the data for any apps I want to save I use Helium.

For everything else I just copy the files to my computer and Google Drive. (Both - the phone and one backup could fail at the same time. The odds of the phone and both backups failing at the same time? Probably makes "astronomical" look small.)

But before you do that, go to Settings/General/Storage. Find the Cache bar. When it finishes calculating, press it. Clear the cache. You won't lose any data. That could be the problem. If it's not, you can still back up and do a factory reset.
