Resetting Fingerprint scan

How did you get out of the password screen and back to the fingerprint swipe option?

How did you get the phone to go back to the fingerprint scan? My phone wants the alternative password and the one I remember entering is not working. I can not afford to loose my data with a hard reset. I need to go back to the fingerprint scanner. I tried the android device manager (Google) but it still asks for my alternative password and not my Google password.

I logged into my Samsung account and there is a disable password/screen lock in the locate my phone menu. This helped me!

Anyone know how to reset your fingerprint once it's been set as security? I can turn it off and back on. But I can't find a way to re-run the setup...
