Resize video

On my Xoom I can tap a video and it will stretch to screen. I cannot get my GNEX to do this. Any solutions?

As far as I know it should do it after a couple seconds if held sideways(landscape). Any video I have watched on youtube, netflix or just video on the phone has done this.

The videos that I have downloaded. Many of them will fit to a square block in the middle of the screen, but not stretch end to end.

The resolution of the video needs to be wide like 1280

Get mx video player, it has multiple viewing options like scretch and fit to screen. Never have those issues.
