Resizing Widgets

Good evening. I maxed out my agenda widget to 4*4. I now would like to resize it to 4*1. Unfortunately, I have not been able to do this. It will not give me the resizing prompt. Is there a way to fix this ? I've shut down and restarted but it hasn't helped. Any suggestions are welcomed.

When you say delete, do you mean place it in the trash? If so, I have done that as well.

Yes, long press it and drag it to the trash. Then you can long press the screen again and select "widget". If the app has different sized widgets, they will show up in that list. What app are you using?

I have only run into one widget that allowed me to change the size, where it actually resized. Most of the time, the widget stays the same size when I resize it, but the space around it gets bigger, or smaller, whatever the case may be.

I appreciate your input. I have long pressed the widget and placed it in the trash. It still will not allow me to make it a 4*1 widget again. It is weird. It is the agenda widget.

I just downloaded and installled it and it works fine. What launcher are you using? Also, did you go to setting> applications> manage applications> agenda widget> uninstall? Then go download a fresh copy. That really should do it unless you're running a launcher that doesn't support it.

I'll give this a try.

This should do it. The only launcher that doesn't support it is Zeam. If you're using the native Touchwhiz that came with the phone, or GoLauncher, or ADW launcher, etc. the widget should work just fine.

Let us know if the complete uninstall, new download and install, and reboot fixes the problem. We love to hear about solutions to problems :-)

I really appreciate the feedback from all. Tunie, I am using the stock launcher. I went into manage applications and did not see an option to delete the widget. As a matter of fact, I didn't see the agenda application at all under all applications. I can resize and all of the other Widgets, except this one. It is really odd. I'm not going to have a cow if I can't resize it to 4*1, but would certainly like an explanation as to why this widget will not return to its original size.

If the widget isn't listed in the list of applications under applications management, then it's not installed.
