Restarting phone resets battery stats?

Just noticed my battery stats reset when I restarted my phone. Is this supposed to happen? It says the stats are from last full recharge but that's not the case. I was at 94% around 30 minutes SOT and when I checked again it's now at 92% 8 minutes SOT.

This does happen sometimes and other times, it just continues. Not sure what triggers it to change but I have had happen to me

So everything will be ok with battery stats after my next full charge?

This happens when you restart your phone and you have 90% or more battery left. If you restart when the battery drops below 90% your stats will stay. It works like this on all Android phones.
