Restocking fee!

I recently got a z flip 6 but decided to return it and keep my s24 plus after all. To my surprise I'm being charged an $82 restocking fee. So this is just a heads up on Samsung charging a restock fee on flips and folds.

Of course this may not be news to some, but I was surprised by this.

Unfortunately a restocking fee is standard practice for smartphones and many other products. If I had to guess, it's to recover some of the costs of doing so (the manual labor, replacing damaged packaging, shipping, etc) and to prevent people from just buying and returning on a whim. It sucks because you can't really know if you'll like a device without being able to use it.

It was $35 over a decade ago on a mid range phone when I had to pay it, so $85 today sounds about right.

Yeah I wouldn't doubt it in today's time, everything increased my thinking was way back in the day lol
