Let's see if I can explain this..
I got a new pixel 2 in Nov. It asked me if I wanted to restore from my old phone. Yes! My pixel automagically had all my apps, texts, passwords etc. Everything. It was. Bliss.
Then, I had to send it in for warranty replacement. I did same thing with my old phone that I had since wiped. The one this backup was created from the first time, but I assumed it all was stored in Google land. It didn't come back. Damn.
New pixel comes and I try to restore and it doesn't do it. Why did it work the first time, and how can I get all that back this time? Or, if all that data is somehow lost, how do I make sure it doesn't happen again?
I think I backup, but maybe not. Dunno.
