Restore from trash

I've got some photos in my Trash. I can't figure out how to restore them. What am I missing here?

In gallery? Long press the photo and at bottom tap restore.

Or are you talking about the Trash in Google Photos?

Figured it out.

Device Care > Storage > Advanced > Internal Storage > Files > click on Recent Files > 3 dots in top right > Trash > Edit > then pick the photos you need to restore > then click on Restore
