i just dont get it. flashed a new rom and stuck in the same situation as before.

after rooting, wiping, and flashing the first time. I log back onto the marketplace and check "my apps" and it only shows about 10 out of the 100 i have. Why does it only keep track of specific ones? so i do have titanium backup but that is gone. last time i had to redownload titanium backup, i guess the data that titanium backup saves doesnt dissapear thoough?, and then chose to restore apps manually by hand.

this time i thought id be better prepared, moved all my apps including titanium backup to the SD card, just wiped and reflashed, logged back into the marketplace and guess what, only about 10 of the 100 are there. of course titanium backup is gone again. so now i am going to redownload that and hope that it has all my restore data available. no bid deal, just very annoying as i am not a programmer and i just want to understand why it does this, and also because someone said its better to reinstall apps from the original .apk rather than titanium backup.

my question is what am i doing wrong here, or is this just par for the course when it comes to flashing ROMS?

You always have to reinstall Titanium Backup. Once you reinstall that from the Market you can use it to install your backedup apps from your prior backup, which is retrieved from your sd card.

ok, thanks just making sure i wasnt doing something wrong, but coming from webOS your apps were saved online so whenever my pre would break and id get a replacement, youd go to the market and boooom it would redownload EVERYTHING. also in titanium i know you select batch restore and restore all missing apps but you still have to click "install and done" for each app. any way to just say yes to all of them at once cause its a pain sitting there for 30 minutes to restore 100 apps.

Market is "iffy" at best. With latest updates, I actually find it disappointing. Prefer searching on the web application.

Try the market on phone to search something. Market tells me "found 200 results". When I tap to see all, I can only scroll through what seems like one page. Can't see more.

Try logging in to your market account via web and see if apps are there.

As for reinstalling apks through file manager vs. Titanium, I do that occasionally, as Titanium can be slow on some apps (Flash) is one of them. However, Titanium is great for batch reinstalls. I only restore data to certain apps....others don't really need it.
