Restoring unleashed 1.7

Hi All
I'm not Loving the battery life of version 1.8. If I restore my nandroid backup of 1.7, do I need to wipe caches and format data before restoring?

Did you run the powerboost script with it and still not great battery life? You should probably ask on the forum on that site.. Droidth3ory and the mods check it often and will let you know.
