[Retired][ROM]Superclean 2.9.2 EA15/EB01/EB16/EC10 Based

What do you mean by factory reset your phone? How did you do it? What build were you on before? ROM? kernel? etc.
I did it with clockworkmod and I was on 2.9.2 kernel EC10. My phone would not go past the samsung logo. Should I odin back to stock?

So you did wipe data/factory reset? Did you also wipe cache and dalvik cache? What did you flash after doing that? Were you on voodoo or non voodoo?

Just try flashing sc 2.9,2 in cwm again. Did you have a separate EC10 kernel, or the one that came with superclean?
Thanks for the info. It sounds silly to have to find a 3rd party program just so my email will work properly, since my mail has always just "worked" for the last 6 years or so going back to my first Blackberry, although I get that the problem seems to be at higher level then just SC.
Your thoughts on the Search seem to be quite plausible, so I will adjust and see if that works. As far of the SOD, I don't really want to go through the many levels and steps needed to do that, just not worth it enough for me to do. Same with using other roms, I'm not as into that as much as some folks, I simply just want Froyo and feel hoodwinked that Samsung/Verizon has put us in this scenario. My first Android was an EVO, which I tried out but had to return because of bad coverage, I didn't realize I was "downgrading" by going with the Fascinate!
I am in the market for a tablet, and although the Samsung looks tempting, I absolutely will not give Samsung any more money until they get with the program. I can only be thankful that I got my Fascinate on a free promotion, so the only pain I endured was $38 in tax......
I don't blame Samsung for the Fascinates poor stock performance, I blame Verizon. After loading SC 2.9.2 I can see how the phone should have run without Verizon adding in all their bloatware and restrictions. I can't wait for the new Galaxy 10.1" tab coming out in June. I can trust it will have the un-interfered quality I love from Samsung... I still have my Samsung Win Mobile i730 cell phone from 5 or so years ago, I loved that phone, memories?
Thanks again for all your hard work on SC, my stock phone had gotten unbearably slow and jerky, it's a smokin hot piece of art again. The only thing they forgot was a front camera for video chatting. Oh well, almost perfect, I'll get that on my G tab in June.

The new ROM and radio/modem are posted over at XDA. Adrynalyne is most likely getting some sleep and will post it over here when he is ready. In a sense that's a good thing because initial problems and bugs, if any exist will already be addressed.
Is there a way to add backup assistant back onto a rom? I really don't prefer to use google to backup my contacts and I like that I can easily recover contacts both on this phone and any other vzw phone with it.
I dont see that option in account and sync under settings but I see that BackupAssistant.apk file is already in the package have you tried running the setup wizard to initiate it?
I go to setup - it says click start to begin backup assistant - i click start and it just immediately goes to the setting up a google account step.

hmmm weird when i clicked on start it takes me directly to the page for entering my pin for backup assistant. Did you just flash this ROM as of now? If so go through the google account setup first then try the backup assistant through setup wizard again.
No I've had the rom for a while. When i go to add a google account is says this account is already on the phone. and then nothing about backup assistant shows.
I see, well do you have root explorer or any any file explorer with root access? Try pushing the APK to system/app and make sure to disable read only. Other than that I you can try reflashing 2.9.2 again to see if it shows up?
Just tried that; no go. That's alright I suppose I could just export them to the sd or something.
Weird. I just now saw the backup assistant symbol on the top of my phone and it said backup complete. First time I saw that since I've flashed, it must have been putting the apk on that did it, but I still can't set it up under setup wizard. Niceee, thanks.
