I have a rooted evo running cyanogenmod 6.1 and I would like to get 4g that a stock evo gets. How do I go back to stock and still stay rooted. I bought the phone like this from ebay.

I am new to this. Do i just download the main file and the radio file and put them on the root of my SD card in the phone and then just flash the main file first and then the radio file after I do a backup and a clear of data and others just as if I am installing any other ROM?

Just flash the rom and once the rom is up and running, if you need to update your radios flash them exactly as you would a rom or a kernel. Except you dont need to wipe anything.

While the radios are installing your phone will tweak out and reboot and act generally scary. Just sit back and relax, its supposed too. haha.

So,

Wipe everything
Flash the rom
Reboot
Setup
Reboot into recovery and flash the radios like a rom
Sit around until its done (could take a lil while)
Reboot and enjoy.

On Cyanogen that you have now you have a program called Rom Manager, so all you need to do is download the zip file to your sd card, open rom manager and select install rom from sdcard, then browse to your rom.

Make sure to hit wipe all data and it's always a good idea to make a backup!

You can install the radios in the same manner but don't need another backup or to wipe data just to install the radios.

When you get going on the AC rom, just re-install rom manager so you can switch again when you'd like and/or create another backup - I like to keep a few backups of different ROMs with all my information already set.

Also, check out a program called titanium backup, its' different than backing up a rom because it backs up your programs and program data to teh SD card so you don't have to download them all over again. (and so you don't lose your levels on angry birds, etc)

How do I find that file in Rom Manager? I do not have ROM Manager Premium?

If you downloaded it on your phone then it will be under /download

If you downloaded it to your computer, then moved it to your phones SD card, just find where you put it and select it.

You dont need premium, although i recommend getting it.
