The halo isn't the only problem with this phone in my opinion...The phone has an inferior EIS which is not as good as OIS, the reception in metal buildings isn't that great either when my iPhone 7 Plus can run everything smoothly even if the whole building was made or metal. The home button on the back is annoying when I lay the phone on the table because when the screen times out I have to lift the phone, the speaker quality is only mono and not loud at all, the navigation bar takes up screen real estate which means I'm not getting the full 5.5 inch experience, its water resistance is bad too.
For those reasons I couldn't justify paying the price for the phone. The good things about the phone are the display quality, fast charging, and Google Assistant (which is better than Siri in my opinion). But those three things aren't enough to justify the price of the phone. The 7 Plus just seems more premium to me, but opinions may vary.
