Returned my S8+ for a Note 5

I'm now back with a Note 5 920C

Had one Jan to March last year; sold it and then regretted it since!

The S8 Plus is a lovely phone; don't get me wrong! But it wasn't happy; kept crashing etc... So replacement from Samsung was sold on and the Note 5 landed with me this morning!

Forgotten how good a phone it is and it's the perfect size IMO. No stupid 'Edge' screen as well!

Just in the midst of backing it up from the last backup before I sent my S8 Plus back and will update it to Android 7.0 ASAP

No idea why Samsung thought against releasing the Note 5 in UK & Europe; but IMO, they lost out on a lot of revenue!

It's nice to have a large, decent Samsung phablet with a flat screen. Hope to god they don't do the Note 8 with an Edge screen; but sods law it will be like that

The word this past winter is that Samsung is going to the edge displays on all of their new Galaxy phones. That curved display was my one major complaint with my S7 Edge. This Note 5 is so much better in that regard. The Nougat upgrade fixed the rest of the issues.

I've been using this with an Otterbox Commuter. It's a little bit slick on the back though, so I've ordered a Neo-Hybrid Crystal case from Spiegen. I had that on the S7 Edge and really liked it.
