Returning it...am I first?

Bingo. Plus I think many are glossing over the fact that my Evo 4G is moving data like a champ. A network issue would affect all devices, and in any case, tech support confirmed there are no network issues in my area. I can't remember the thread, but some people with Evo LTE data issues are convincing themselves that Sprint is hobbling the network to force people onto wifi. I'm guessing you'll be reading about their frustration when they're stuck with bad phones.
 
I will be returning one of mine for a defective camera. Of course I have to wait for Best Buy to get more in...
 
That is correct. You only have 14 days to return, not 30.

Hmmm...guess I need to double-check with Best Buy, then, because I received my EVO on Thursday and Friday, I went back to the store because I was hoping they might have another there or maybe even someone getting theirs activated at that moment & they might let me compare the sound quality. Mine seems so tinny, low and not real crisp as compared to my OG EVO. The young lady that activated my phone Thursday was the same one that told me Friday that I had up to 30 days to return it, so I was hoping that Sprint would launch before my 30 days was up, in case I really do have a bum speaker.
 
Take it back. My phone was good at first now my speeds are just like yours. It's the network too.

You've got 30 days to return the phone if you bought from Best Buy, which is why I buy from them. Actually I'm a premier member and they give you 45 days!

From my long awaited and totally worth it EVO LTE!

What area are you in? I'm in the Atlanta area and mine is noticeably faster in both 3G and WiFi than my previous EVO. Maybe try taking it in to a Sprint service center and having it checked out first. I love mine and it is a total breath of fresh air. There's no way I'm parting with this jewel!

I concur! I'm also in the ATL, & this phone outperforms my OG EVO. Only 2 things - 1) speaker isn't as loud as OG EVO, & 2) there is a noticeable orange hue in new & old pics. I think I solved the hue issue by changing the saturation to -1 (from 0).

I've previously owned the OG EVO and then the EVO 3D.

Color fidelity for my EVO 4G LTE camera is excellent outdoors. I've never had a cell phone camera this good. Indoors under incandescent lighting I get an expected yellow/orange cast but that is to be expected.

I'm quite pleased with my speaker volume when using speaker phone. For music I use a high quality Grado 80i headset and of course the sound is stunning. I've tried switching the Beats Audio on and off. It gives just enough boost to the high and low ends that I've left it turned on, contrary to what I thought I would do.

Thanks. It's good to know this... I'm still in the learning process with this phone just like everyone else is, so hopefully we will all continue to progress w/our new toys.
 
I called to get a replacement i have 3g/wifi issues and the phone makes a beeping noise when I'm on the phone using my airave

During the whole call? It's supposed to beep when you first make the call to let you know you are connected to the Airave.

Yes i know that its every time I'm on a call and i take the phone away from my ear the screen comes on then i put my ear back up to the phone the screen turns off but the person on the other end hears a beep

That is weird. Have you tried seeing if anyone else with the EVO LTE and airave is having the same issue on the forum?
 
If no one chimes in with the same problem then I agree with you on getting a replacement. Hopefully you have better luck second time around.
